The True Value of Life: Why Everything We Have Is Only on Loan

Many of us take for granted the things we have in our lives. Since we have worked hard to acquire them, they are ours to keep. But the truth is, everything we have is only on loan to us. We are merely stewards of the resources we have been given.

What would happen if we viewed everything we have as being on loan to us. Suddenly, we would have a much greater sense of responsibility for taking care of those things. We would be more careful with them, and we would be more inclined to share them with others.

When we realize that everything we have is only on loan, it changes our perspective on life. We realize that we are not the owners of anything, but rather the caretakers. And that is a position of great honor and responsibility.

The Impermanence of Life

In some philosophies, the doctrine of impermanence is the belief that all things in life are temporary and will eventually come to an end. This includes our thoughts, feelings, and even our physical bodies. Everything is in a constant state of change, and nothing is permanent.
