The Journey Begins

The beginning thought focused on Songs. And to that the idea of Song Inspired Writing. From there other ideas appeared, Talking To Strangers, Other Writers, and Thinking. I’m sure there are more ideas floating around. The collection is still growing from inspiration all around me.

Then I change the title of each group to Writing Inspired By Songs, which would be a part of the group publication Writings Inspired By.

Writings Inspired By Songs

I have a Spotify list of Songs To Inspire Writing. The list consists of mostly instrumental music across all genres.

The process for me is to open up an OneNote page, start the song, and write whatever comes to mind during the song. There are times I play the songs a second and third time if my thoughts are continuing.

I will subsequently plan time to edit the piece prior to published. Sometimes I will replay the song during the editing process.

The format I am using on Medium.com is the kicker is Writings Inspired By Songs, the title will be the name of the song, plus a hyphen, and the name of the group. The next line will contain my…
